About Me

I’m Muhammad Idrees — an entrepreneur and the author of three published books, with my fourth on the way. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and being around others to share experiences, ideas, positivity, and the many stories life has given me.

I love camping, hiking, swimming, and long walks (especially when I have company 🤪). I’m a naturally good listener and I enjoy giving advice when it’s welcome — always with the intention to be helpful and uplifting. I’m quite talkative, but I avoid meaningless conversations. I prefer discussions filled with positivity, life lessons, new ideas, brainstorming, future goals, and how to achieve them.

I’m a big optimist, someone who laughs easily, enjoys making light jokes, and appreciates good company. In my free time, you’ll usually find me reading, exploring the city, or relaxing in my living room (my favorite place to disappear into a good sleep 😁).

I joined Couchsurfing through an invitation from a friend I’ve never actually met in person — Christina — after I once invited tourists through the “Expat Oman” Facebook page. CS opened a new door for me to connect with people around the world.

Hosting

I live in a two-bedroom apartment, and since I’m a “living room guy,” I always have enough space to host both male and female travelers. (Please don’t expect 5-star luxury — just the simple, warm hospitality of someone living alone.)

I’m happy to share the knowledge I’ve gained from my years of experience across the GCC. Whenever I’m free from work, I can also take guests out for some sightseeing and show them around Oman.

Looking forward to meeting amazing travelers and creating great memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always love to be around people where we can have nice conversations and knowledge-sharing chats.

Joing CS was advice from a friend with a different perspective to share my accommodation but after joining I realized it is more than that in which we can build a community, a friendship circle that helps for personal growth in terms of wide knowledge about Travels, other cultures & Societies, different ideas.

In addition to that, I was taught by my parents to share love, and respect with others and don't keep things to yourself if you can share even if it's your home, food, knowledge, and support. which is also one of the reasons I am here...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many things so far in my life that can be an amazing part of my life but in general what I do consider that always being respectful, sharing, and caring to my friends and family is something that is more amazing thing I am doing

Teach, Learn, Share

There is always something to learn since knowledge is like an ocean and we can go deep into it as much as we can...
CS has also given me an opportunity to meet people to share my experiences, knowledge, stories, culture, and teaching of Islam with others and also to learn from them many things by listening to their experiences, and stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have an apartment with two bedrooms and I live alone and always ask my czns to accompany me when I am alone since I sleep in the living room my guests can have a comfortable stay in the bedrooms.

I have some other commitments since dealing with business however, I share country Values, advice, and support during working days.
Try to hangout after work and during weekends.

Love to share amazing food whenever we cook at home along with czns.
