I'm from Alaska (which I miss oh so much), and currently live in Toronto with my partner.

I really enjoy places, the physicality and specificity of location, and the different ways that humans can exist. I love building stories, and spend a lot of my time making comics (https://instagram.com/mumblethief/). I feel very connected to DIY culture, and really like it when people try and think/be in alternative ways. I compulsively view most issues from multiple disparate points of view, which I like to think makes me good at holding onto a bit of doubt about any and everything.

I also feel really privileged to work for a local nonprofit called Story Planet, which is a small organization focused on bringing non-traditional arts-based literacy workshops to K-12 classrooms in under-resourced communities in the greater Toronto area. With Story Planet I do a lot of graphic design, and also help develop and run workshops and other initiatives. I feel so lucky to do work that feels like it is directly pushing the world in a positive direction!

I've also been really getting into playing music lately (and correspondingly listening to more), though I'm not too far along of yet. Still it's been a lot of fun getting away from the drawing board and adding fiddling with synthesizers to my pile of nerdy hobbies (magic the gathering, pinball, comics, board & video games, etc).
