About Me

Pixie (IG: @wildlensbypixie) and I live in a yurt in the mountains of Wyoming close to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It's an absolutely incredible area that we are very passionate about. We are both world travelers, and love to share experiences in nature, great food, and stories. We live a rather secluded life, but are happy to share it with others : )

***We have to snowmobile into our yurt a short distance during winter, but are happy to coordinate a pick up***

CURRENT MISSION

Connect with our beautiful world, and adventure in the mountains, while balancing a career in wildlife ecology. Always keep learning!

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going guy that loves to learn, improve myself and help others. I revel in meeting new people and understanding their experiences and views. I have a very strong connection and appreciation for the mountains and the outdoors. As much time as possible I spend outdoors doing all sorts of activities. I consider myself very excitable, respectful, sincere, inquisitive, active, and curious. My passion and "profession" is terrestrial mammalian ecology and wildlife research in general. I am an avid traveler and hope to explore all the corners of the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf and host whenever possible! My philosophy regarding CS is pretty simple; I do all I can to be a great host because that is exactly the type of experience I want (and have had!) in return. Cheers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have done a decent amount of surfing around the world, and plenty of hosting. One thing you're guaranteed of is meeting quality and dynamic people, and I did. Thank you all!

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to gravitate toward books that chronicle great adventures, whether the setting is in the mountains or during war-time. Scientific literature is also very interesting to me because it is such a direct and concentrated source of information and learning.

Two favorite books for now: Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing, and Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky

My interest in music spans the existing spectrum from traditional Andean music to rap to Celtic.
