About Me

🌏 Recently relocated to Australia for work 🇦🇺

Hello! I’m Muneeb.

I originally come from the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands which lie in the Indian Ocean. I’ve lived and worked in England and Europe for years before moving to Australia, and I love connecting with people from all over the world.

I would describe myself as easy-going, curious, and open-minded. Meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing experiences are things that really excite me.

Travel is a big part of my life. I enjoy exploring new cities, trying local food, and making friends wherever I go. In my free time, I love walking or cycling around the city, especially in the evenings or after dinner, it’s my way of unwinding while soaking in the vibe of a place.

Couchsurfing, for me, is not just about finding a place to stay but about meaningful cultural exchange. I’d be really happy to meet fellow travelers and locals who share similar interests, and to create memories and friendships along the way.

*********** I work on rotating shifts and sometimes travel to different sites, so my schedule can vary. The best way is to just send me a message, and if I’m around and free, I’ll be more than happy to host. When I’m not working, I really enjoy having guests over and sharing good company. **********

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve always been passionate about exploring new countries and cultures. During my bachelor’s, I had the chance to visit Portugal for a summer research internship. I stayed with a local Portuguese family, and that experience completely amazed me, it opened my eyes to the warmth of people, their traditions, and the everyday beauty of life in another country. Those people became like family to me, and the memories I made there will always stay close to my heart.

Before that trip, I didn’t even know Couchsurfing existed. But through meeting so many new people, I discovered this community and I believe it’s the perfect way to connect with kind, like-minded travelers and locals. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to stay; it’s about friendship, cultural exchange, and building genuine connections around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Music - Adele, Fleetwood Mac, Abba, Dua Lipa and almost every type that tunes very well with my soul.
Favourite Movies - Horror, Action thrillers, comedy genre and last but not the least "Indian Bollywood".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve never been the type to waste a vacation—whether it was school holidays or university breaks, I was always ready to pack my bag and head somewhere new.

Some of my favorite adventures include:

Solo traveling around Germany in 2018.

Climbing every single step of Bom Jesus in Portugal.

Discovering half of London just by walking its streets.

Exploring almost every region of India (the northeast is still on my list, and I’ll get there soon!).

Taking solo road trips along Australia’s Great Ocean Road.

Driving overnight from Melbourne to Sydney on New Year’s Eve, just to see the fireworks and then heading straight back.

Crawling through the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam and exploring the Mekong Delta with locals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to share stories about India and my experiences growing up in both Europe and the UK. If you’re an aspiring mechanical engineering student, I’d be happy to share my journey and also learn from yours.

I can also teach you some Hindi if you’re interested, and I’d be glad to share about my wonderfully diverse family, which includes people from almost every religion and culture.

Most importantly, I’d love to share my time whether that’s hanging out, exploring the city together, or just making you feel comfortable and welcome here. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring good company, interesting conversations, and a positive attitude wherever I stay. I’m happy to share stories from my travels across India, Europe, and Australia, and I’d love to cook a simple meal or help out around the house as a way of saying thanks.

I’m respectful, tidy, and easy-going, so I’ll always take care of the space as if it were my own. More than anything, I can offer genuine friendship and cultural exchange. I believe that’s what Couchsurfing is truly about.
