ABOUT ME

I'm in Melbourne for most of 09. The house is on the beach in St Kilda. Sometimes I'll be in Byron Bay. Normally I live in Byron. The Byron house is colonial with a big balcony that goes all around...lots of room for surfboards and the odd couch-surfer. The weather in Northern Australia starts to get too hot approaching Christmas, and plus there's no surf in PD because of the reef, so it's time to hit Byron - God's country. I'm living alone.
About my past - I used to be a school teacher and then started a little manufacturing business, making Aussie finger foods. I went to my first international trade show in San Fran March 06 but it cost me an arm and a leg to stay in hotels all the time. Went back to USA again in Feb 07 for an extended sales trip which took me to L.A., Vegas, New York, Chicago, Vancouver. Came back. Stressed. Partied too hard. Worked too hard. Had a heart attack! Chilled out a bit. Gave up the fags. Moved from Melbourne to Port Douglas...now Byron.
I'm also very interested in visiting Europe again, and perticularly Eastern Europe for the architecture, pubs, museums etc., and because I haven't been there.

Never couchsurfed officially previously but have definately randomly woken up on a few in my day.

When I was a kid I went to Berlin and saw the wall come down. Also I climbed the Great Pyramid.
