The last book I have read Is Death in Venice (Thomas Mann) which is beautiful but I prefer the movie by Visconti based in that book. Is sublime.
Also Mircea Eliade, Herman Hesse, Shakespeare, Lorca, borges, joseph conrad, venus in furs, Dostoevskij etc.

Movies: david lynch, kubrick, fellini, antonioni, visconti, bertolucci, (Italian mother influences hehe) bergman, kim ki-duk, j-horror, polanski, coppola, etc.

Music: Japanese ambient. Also the smiths, the clientele, nick drake, my bloody valentine, donovan, nacho vegas, grouper, the velvet underground, pet shop boys, delfonics, pixies, pavement, scott walker, experimental music, live elctronics, john cage, merzbow, sunn o)), boris, classical music, henry purcell, vaughan williams, monteverdi, tango, Morricone, Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc.
