About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To go further.
ABOUT ME
I teach and work as an Indigenous Education specialist in beautiful Victoria BC, Canada. When I travel, I love to meet new people and learn about how things are done elsewhere.
I have a decent amount of travelling under my belt, including a lot of wilderness/backcountry trips, and I hope to go explore the world again soon.
This year I am going on my first solo bike touring adventure in Switzerland and Austria and I am super excited for this new challenge.
PHILOSOPHY
This pretty much sums it:
"The woods do that to you, they always look familiar, long lost, like the face of a long-dead relative, like an old dream, like a piece of forgotten song drifting across the water, most of all like golden eternities of past childhood or past manhood and all the living and the dying and the heartbreak that went on a million years ago and the clouds as they pass overhead seem to testify (by their own lonesome familiarity) to this feeling."

Music, Movies, and Books
I love so many genres! I am really open minded about art and I love to share music/movie/book suggestions with people!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my hometown, I used to do an insane sport called "ice canoeing", which involves dragging a boat across a 1km-wide river through ice floats and other miscellaneous hazards. It is as ridiculous and fun as it sounds. Now I live across the country in British Columbia, so a lot of my latest epic trips have involved the mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have tried to cook for the people who have hosted me. From fresh banana bread to homemade thai food to salmon salad, It is often my way to give thanks to the people who are willing to have me over!! I also pick up languages quite quickly, and I am happy to teach the ones I know!
