关于我

Hey there. My name is Murilo, I'm 18 and I study in University of Sao Paulo, taking a degree in Literature for Japanese and Portuguese. I find nature and quiet places lovely and that's why I like to write.
I expect to graduate from college and keep studying till I can achieve the PhD status. I love languages so much that when I was a kid, I decided to create my own. That's why I'm so fond of linguistic. This year, I plan to finally apply for a scholarship for a undergraduate research.
Riding bikes is my favorite sport of all. Every time I get to do it, I feel like I'm flying. Even being brazilian, I'm not so good at soccer to the point you may ask me anything, but kicking a ball.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love writing. Mainly because I feel like there's no other way to send out my worries and personal frustrations. Hence, since I turned 18, I'm finally free to go beyond the borders and meet what this world secretly keeps to itself. I can finally fulfill my dream to visit a foreign country for the very first time. So I'm on couchsurfing to make new friends with different minds that probably will turn myself into someone even better. And then, I can make it eternal by writing a story.

兴趣

My main interest is to publish the novel I'm writing. Also, getting my scholarship this year and start working as a researcher right away. Other than these, I like watching shows like RuPaul's Drag Race with my friends and music. Omg, I love music. I live 24/7 with my headphones on.

音乐、电影和书籍

My favorite song is Stay Awake by Ellie Goulding, my favorite movie is Titanic and one of my favorite books is Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser and Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I went to Rio with my college friends for a political event that brought students from all over the country together. We stayed in a local university with our tents and air beds. We were just a block away from the Sugar Loaf and beside it, there was a beautiful beach where we lit up a fire and sang songs till the late night.
Another great experience was when I went to SP's south coast with other 12 friends where we lived happily together for a week, sharing food and beds.

教,学,和分享

There's a few things that living in a our house will naturally teach. For example: you never wait in the bus stop because there's an app that shows you where the next bus is and you can obviously wait in our cozy couch; if you gotta go out, then leave at least one hour before your scheduled appointment cause it always takes an hour to get anywhere here; you can clean up a house and it will be boring, but when we clean up our house, it's always a party.

Living in Sao Paulo is different from any other place, as I believe. It isn't a lie if anyone tells you that the city is a concrete jungle, cause it is. But I mean, SP threatens the individuality of one who finds himself/herself in the middle of it. And somehow it starts to break into people, leaving them swinging in the wind. What I have to share is the way I found to survive this huge slayer of joy and keep on going with a smile in the face. And btw, that's the key: smiling everyday for no special reason.
And my house follows this very proposition. We have something to cheer about from monday to monday. As if we were siblings, we look after each other. That's what makes Monanarquia (the way we call our home) so special and we want to welcome anyone who enjoys sharing love as we do. That way, we will learn even more about how to survive in here and our future lovely guest will have something to remember.
