ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Sarah! I'm from Sale in south Manchester and I've just graduated from Sheffield University with a geography degree. Im a very peopley person and i like to spend a lot of my time in the company of others. I absolutely love finding interesting places on t'internet and then going for little jaunts. Im a very curious person and i like to learn new things and see new places and i think i know a lot of the best but underappreciated places in Manchester. Another big passion i have is outdoor swimming. If theres water nearby you can be sure i'll be in it. I like to find idyllic spots for a lovely summer dip and I like most outdoor activities. I have recently been getting into my lomo photography. I have a fisheye and a holga camera and they've both produced some really fun photos. I get bored really easily and enjoy having lots of things to be getting on with. As far as travels are concerned I've done the odd bit of youth hostelling and travelling and would love to do more of this in the future. I would really love to stay on an isolated island in the Gulf of Finland and see the Northern Lights :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment Im not really in a position to offer a couch (im back with the parentals for a while)would love to meet up for a coffee or a night out though :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not had any couchsurfing experience yet but hoping to in the future!
If anyone wants to meet for drinks or lunch in either Sheffield or Manchester let me know! Im keen to start meeting other couchsurfers :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all the Die Hard films, the original Wicker Man, Its a Wonderful Life, The Goonies, The Fall.
Musicwise i like anything i can imagine sitting on the beach listening to and bands like Biffy Clyro, Idlewild, Hundred Reasons, R.E.M.
My favourite book is Junk by Melvin Burgess and anything Bill Bryson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its not very exciting but i think lying back and watching the stars in Cornwall is quite an amazing experience. Also a play we saw on the beach in Perranporth...it ended in a cave with an arch of fire and wierd chanting and then when we came out there were all these tiny lanterns hung around the cliffs and rolling pink mist. I can't really do it justice but there was a really magic atmosphere about it.
