ABOUT ME

As much as i I love to travel, i love to deeply experience a destination. I don't believe that you have to travel more to enjoy life. You just have to travel better. In-fact the best travel experiences are when i can feel like a local where ever in the world I go to. Some of my favourite experiences include a week of organic farming in the French countryside, living with locals in rural Rajesthan, spending a day watching college football in Houston, rock climbing in China, etc. My regular jobs helps pay for my passion

I like to experience my trips as a traveler and not a tourist. And to help me keep track of where i go and what i do, I like to keep a log of all my travel experiences so as to recount them one day. I have amassed a shelf full of these journals.

I enjoy backpacking and getting to know places from a local's perspective. I am laid back and like to take things as they come. I love to cook and bake. I am hoping to cook every page of a Sri Lankan cook book in the next few months. I spend my weekends camping and developing his skills as a photographer.

I don't drink or smoke.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to share this with as many new people as i can tell, as not many in my close circle of friends know about it. I think CS has a lot of opportunity in a country like Sri lanka which has so much to offer travelers. I am happy to share my knowledge about SL in exchange for some of your travel experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept in tea pluckers homes, 2 days with a family of carpet weavers in an isolated village, pilgrim hostels and of course all over the world.
