About Me
Hi, I’m Murtaza Ali.
For the past three years, I’ve been traveling consistently and have explored 35 countries so far. I’m working toward a long-term goal of seeing the whole world — not rushing through it, but experiencing it properly.
I enjoy pushing myself physically, especially hiking and climbing mountains. I like the challenge, the quiet, and the perspective you get from the top. I’m also very into food culture — I prefer local spots over tourist restaurants and I’m always curious to try something new.
The best part of traveling for me is meeting people. I enjoy honest conversations about culture, work, ideas, and life in general. Every country feels different because of the people in it, and that’s what keeps me moving.
As a guest, I’m independent, respectful, and clean. I understand boundaries and I value the trust it takes to host someone. I’m happy to share travel stories, cook together, or simply hang out — but I also respect your space if you’re busy.
35 countries down, many more to go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I don’t see travel as just moving between places — it’s about connecting with people.
Hotels are comfortable, but they don’t tell you how a city really feels. Staying with locals, sharing meals, having conversations — that’s how you understand a place beyond photos and tourist spots.
I’ve traveled to 35 countries so far, and the moments I remember most aren’t famous landmarks. They’re small things: late-night talks, local recommendations, learning how daily life works somewhere completely different from home.
Couchsurfing, to me, is about cultural exchange. I’m not here just for a place to sleep. I’m here to meet interesting people, share stories, learn new perspectives, and build real connections along the way.
If we cross paths, I hope it feels less like hosting a traveler and more like meeting a friend from another part of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most unforgettable things I’ve done was traveling across 15 countries in Europe in one continuous journey.
It wasn’t about rushing to tick countries off a list — it was about moving through borders, cultures, languages, and landscapes without stopping. From mountains to old cities, night trains to long bus rides, street food to quiet mornings in unfamiliar towns — it was intense, exhausting, and incredible at the same time.
That trip taught me independence, adaptability, and how different yet connected Europe really is. Crossing so many countries in one go made me realize how small the world feels when you’re open to it.
It’s still one of the experiences I’m most proud of.
