Hi This is Oli from Chennai, Tamilnadu, India.

I can call myself a Photographer but what I do mostly is observe. I observe things in front of me and attempt to take a picture of it with my inner instincts. I am passionate about lighting, nature, PEOPLE, abstract visuals, experimental ambient music (I do create some experimental music myself). I don't talk much because I am a good listener. I like 'people watching'... how they go on with their lives, how they make things around them, how they happen to be who they are.. just observing all the time. I love pets (especially dogs). And above all I LOVE TRAVELING (well who doesn't)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

For 25 years, I lived in my comfort zone. Now I’ve realized that life is much bigger, and I can see it only when I step out of that routine. I don’t want to end up in another hotel room with everything delivered to my door. Why go back to that? I want to travel to meet people.

That is why I am here, to meet people from everywhere. I want to hear their stories, struggles, victories, memories, ideas, philosophies, life lessons, and learn new skills from them. I want to be part of the world around me, not sit in a hotel room searching for experiences online. I want to experience every home. People are the real experience.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I hitchhiked from Chennai to Rajasthan and from Chennai to Nepal, mostly traveling in trucks. Along the way, I explored the lives of truck drivers and what life is like on India’s highways.

I can teach basics of photography and graphic design. I do want to learn music (chords and scales). But I mostly like experimental music where there are no rules.
