ABOUT ME

My name is Yikkiu and I know it's not the easiest name to pronounce. The name is difficult but the person is definitely not. ;)

Born in Hong Kong; raised in Vancouver; and now back in Hong Kong for work. I am a happy musician who is able to do what I love in life. I am currently the music director and conductor of a 40-show broadway musical that will be aired in Hong Kong in 2017. I am mostly on the piano performing classical music in recital halls and pop music in malls, restaurants, bars, hotels and road shows. When I get inspired, I compose music as I believe music heals the soul. On the side, I also teach and share the love of music with others.

Although music plays a huge part in my life, I am also very open to trying out many things. Thus, I love to travel and experience different cultures and of course the food HAHA. Travelling has made me realize many things and often is a great inspiration for writing songs as well. The multi-cultural Canadian background has a strong influence on me and made me very flexible and accepting with everyone around me. I am also very optimistic, talkative, friendly and social, with an unique sense of humour you won't want to miss. Never a dull moment.

Oh... and about my name?
Don't worry, if we meet in person I will teach you how to say it. ;)

PHILOSOPHY
