About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live While I'm Young

ABOUT ME

I was brought up in a family environment which encouraged me and my siblings to experience what the world has to offer. After I graduated University in May, I decided to move abroad to London through a program called BUNAC. The program provides international students an opportunity to work in the UK for six months and I am currently entering my fifth month, which means I am nearing the end of this chapter in my life. The highs and lows one experiences living abroad helps build confidence and determination. With just over five weeks left in Londontown, I am gearing up for a backpacking trip through Europe to further satiate my hunger for traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

My life philosophy is best paraphrased from the book "The Tao of Pooh", by Benjamin Hoff.

"A man sees another man struggling in a river that is headed toward a waterfall. The man in the river appears to be fighting for his life, bobbing up and down trying to catch a breath. The man eventually goes over the waterfall and the other man on land races to the bottom to try and rescue him. To his surprise, when he gets to the bottom, he sees the man who was struggling drying off in the bushes. Shocked, he asks the man how he survived. Which the man replied, 'I just went with the flow of the river. Had I tried to fight it, I would have lost my life.'"

For me, I feel like I am more successful in life when I let the future naturally unravel. As soon as I try and force something, the outcome is usually less than desirable.

Interests

My ultimate interest is discussion with other people. Our individual reality is myopic and the best way to share experiences and personal stories is through conversation.

In between conversations, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, running, etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been privileged to have done and seen amazing things in life. The last thing I did worth sharing was my trip to Ireland. I signed the Peace Wall in Belfast, and drank a Guinness at the Gravity Bar in Dublin.
