I enjoy discovering the world we live in and make that possible when money and time permits!

I enjoy the outdoors and that includes hiking (took part in the Oxfam Trailwalker event where I walked 100kms in under 48 hours as part of a fundraising cause against poverty!), discovering lovely beaches etc. I like the arts and enjoy going to plays, musical productions, watching live music performances (little jazz bars to concerts!) etc. I'm a vegetarian (no meat or seafood but I eat eggs and dairy) but that doesn't mean my culinary world is boring! I enjoy cooking all things vegetarian. :) My other interests include photography (nothing professional!), reading, social justice, yoga, listening to music (jazz, hip hop, r&b, alternative, indie folk, blues, ambient etc)….

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I joined up this site to have the opportunity to meet people while on my overseas travels. My first couch surfing experience was in 2015 in Zurich, Switzerland where I was lucky enough to meet a lovely Swiss CS host who warmly shared his home with me and taught me a thing or two about Swiss culture (even got to try a Cheese fondue - how lucky!!). I'm keen to have more such positive CS experiences which is why I'm still on here.

I'm on here not to bag free accommodation (that's a bonus) but really to meet new people, have cultural exchanges and learn more about the city I'm visiting. I like the thought of discovering places that are more well known by locals than following the touristic trails. In saying that, I'm not against checking out tourist attractions… Why wouldn't I want to visit the Eiffel Tower when in Paris or visit the Anne Frank House when in Amsterdam? :)

I unfortunately am unable to host CS members in Perth BUT more than happy to play tour guide (advanced notice needed as I can be busy!) or give you local travel tips or even catch up over a cuppa/cheap meal. Drop me a line!

P/s: I'm not interested in hooking up or anything of that nature so please respect that. ;)

Love a range of music genres.. From jazz to indie rock! My fave artists include Angus and Julia Stone, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Mary J Blige, the Notorious Big, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, U2, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Lauryn Hill etc.

I enjoy reading too! My favourite books are Tuesdays with Morrie, Matilda, A Thousand Splendid Suns and Eat Pray Love.

I enjoy a range of movies and films!:) My favourites include American History X, Frida Kahlo, The Hurricane, City of God and Seven etc.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've hand fed elephants and bathed one of them while in an elephant nature reserve in Chiang Mai, Thailand!:)

If I had to think of something else, it would be tandem skydiving over Jurien Bay in Western Australia (amaaaaazing coastline!)! That's one of my most exciting experiences and I loved every second of it (yes, it was the fastest 60 seconds of adrenalin pumping in my life!)
