ABOUT ME

I'm currently a student at Vanderbilt University, majoring in European Studies and Russian. Both of my parents are immigrants (my father's Turkish and my mother's British), so I've had some exposure to other cultures. However, I'm always open to meeting new people.
I'm fairly easy-going and I love talking to strangers. During the school year I spend all of my time going to class, pouring over books, attending events with my sorority and writing for the humor and satire newspaper at my school. The past three summers I've worked full time drawing caricatures at an amusement park by where I live but when I'm not working I spend my breaks reading and watching movies and visiting friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I spend most of the year in a dorm room. Therefore, not only do I not have a couch, I also have little to no floor space. For the time being, I'm happy to sleep on other people's couches =) However, I'd love to host once I have somewhere to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my only couchsurfing has been during a weekend trip to Chicago. It was a lot of fun and a great way to start off. I'm hoping to do more surfing when I go abroad next semester!

I've fed a baby pig by hand (very messy).
I've spoken in front of over 1,000 people.

I've cheered for a team that's mascot is a no-longer existent navy position.
I've held an alligator.
I've been 5 feet away from a rather large nurse shark.
I've watched an entire season of a TV show in one day.
