Sempre fui fascinado por descobrir e mergulhar em diferentes culturas, além de aprender novos idiomas. Além do português, falo inglês intermediário para avnçado e conheço um pouco de francês e espanhol.

Sou de Fortaleza, no Ceará, mas em abril de 2023 mudei para Brasília. Atualmente divido apartamento com meu ex-companheiro e minha ex-sogra. Portanto, infelizmente isso me impede de hospedar viajantes, mas posso apresentar a cidade - o pouco que já conheço.

First of all, I’m gay, and I’m very proud of it.

I'm a nature and life enthusiast. I love traveling and exploring new places, as well as making new friends, and I’m open to new experiences. I’ve always been fascinated by discovering and immersing myself in different cultures, as well as learning new languages. Besides Portuguese, I speak intermediate to advanced English and have some knowledge of French and Spanish.

I’m from Fortaleza, Ceará, but in April 2023, I moved to Brasília. Currently, I share an apartment with my ex-partner and my ex-mother-in-law. Unfortunately, this prevents me from hosting travelers, but I can show you around the city—the little I know so far.

Sou apaixonado por filmes de drama, romance e com temática LGBTQI+. Gosto de filme alternativo e tenho um grande apreço pelo cinema latino-americano e europeu. Sempre que possível, gosto de frequentar festivais de cinema. Adoro os filmes do Tarantino e Almodóvar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Em 2014, durante a Copa do Mundo no Brasil, fiz um mochilão de 38 dias, viajando de carona e sem dinheiro, de São Paulo a Fortaleza. Foi a primeira vez que me aventurei dessa forma e foi realmente incrível.

Nos anos de 2016, 2018 e 2019 tive a oportunidade de conhecer três praias de nudismo no Brasil: Tambaba, na Paraíba; Abricó, no Rio de Janeiro, e Olho-de-Boi, em Búzios, respectivamente.

Em dezembro de 2018 fiz o trekking de um dia até a base de Torres del Paine, na Patagônica Chilena.

In 2014, during the World Cup in Brazil, I went on a 38-day backpacking trip, hitchhiking and traveling without money from São Paulo to Fortaleza. It was the first time I had ever embarked on an adventure like that, and it was truly incredible.

In 2016, 2018, and 2019, I had the opportunity to visit three nudist beaches in Brazil: Tambaba in Paraíba, Abricó in Rio de Janeiro, and Olho-de-Boi in Búzios, respectively.

In December 2018, I did a one-day trek to the base of Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia.

O Couchsurfing não é o Airbnb. Tanto os anfitriões que oferecem hospedagem quanto os viajantes em busca de um lugar para ficar precisam ter isso em mente. Aqui, alguém abre gratuitamente as portas de sua casa para um desconhecido, não como um serviço, mas em busca de uma troca genuína—algo que vai muito além de simplesmente economizar dinheiro.

Não acho adequado quando um anfitrião impõe uma longa lista de regras, como se estivesse alugando um imóvel. A proposta do Couchsurfing não é essa. No entanto, também acredito que os viajantes devem ter sensibilidade para entender que estão na casa de alguém, e não em um hotel. Pequenos gestos fazem a diferença: manter a organização, limpar o que sujar e, se possível, ajudar com a limpeza são atitudes básicas de respeito. Se o anfitrião preparar uma refeição, lavar a louça como forma de agradecimento é um gesto simples, mas significativo. No fim das contas, tudo se resume ao bom senso.

Como o Couchsurfing é baseado em referências, considero essencial utilizar essa ferramenta. As referências são a única maneira de termos uma noção prévia sobre uma pessoa. Por isso, acho rude ser hospedado por alguém e não deixar um comentário sobre a experiência. O mesmo vale para anfitriões que não deixam referências para seus hóspedes.

Por uma questão de confiança e segurança, só adiciono como amigos na plataforma aqueles que conheci pessoalmente, seja por meio de meetings ou experiências de hospedagem.

Couchsurfing is not Airbnb. Both hosts offering accommodation and travelers looking for a place to stay need to keep this in mind. Here, someone is opening their home for free to a stranger—not as a service, but in search of a genuine exchange, something far beyond just saving money.

I don’t think it’s appropriate when a host imposes a long list of rules, as if they were renting out a property. That’s not what Couchsurfing is about. However, I also believe that travelers should be mindful of the fact that they are staying in someone’s home, not a hotel. Small gestures make a difference: keeping things tidy, cleaning up after yourself, and, if possible, helping with household chores are basic signs of respect. If the host prepares a meal, washing the dishes as a way to show gratitude is a simple but meaningful gesture. In the end, it all comes down to common sense.

Since Couchsurfing is based on references, I consider it essential to use this feature. References are the only way to get an idea of what a person is like beforehand. That’s why I find it rude to be hosted by someone and not leave feedback about the experience. The same goes for hosts who don’t leave references for their guests.

For trust and safety reasons, I only add people as friends on the platform if I’ve met them in person—whether through meetups or hosting experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

O que posso oferecer de mais importante aos meus anfitriões é a minha amizade e respeito. Adoro compartilhar momentos, histórias e conversas. Gosto de ouvir o que a outra pessoa tem a dizer, conhece-la melhor e contar um pouco de mim também.

Procuro ser sempre uma pessoa organizada e limpa, e tento não atrapalhar a vida de quem me hospeda. Posso ajudar na limpeza da casa e na cozinha também. : )

The most important thing I can offer my hosts is my friendship and respect. I love sharing moments, stories, and conversations. I enjoy listening to what the other person has to say, getting to know them better, and also sharing a bit about myself.

I always try to be an organized and clean person, and I make an effort not to disrupt the life of those who host me. I can also help with house cleaning and cooking.
