Overview
About Me
I travel very light - usually with just one backpack - and I enjoy observing how people live in different countries. I’m currently writing a book about life, humanity’s purpose, and what connects us all. Traveling gives me ideas.
I’m a calm and independent traveler who respects personal space. I don’t expect constant interaction - a short chat in the kitchen or a cup of tea is more than enough for me to feel the spirit of a place. I don’t push for socializing, but I’m open to it if it happens naturally.
I usually stay only one or two nights because I’m always on the move.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hotels are comfortable but completely disconnected from authenticity of the place I’m visiting /real life - and honestly, not always friendly to a traveler’s wallet. So yes, the economic aspect is there too (surprise!), but it’s not the whole story.
I don’t really believe in “cultures” as a modern concept - globalization wiped most of it out anyway. So I ain’t saying the overused “to see the culture”. What interests me now is how individuals live, think, and move through their days. Couchsurfing gives me small, real glimpses into that. Nothing dramatic: just a kitchen, a conversation, a moment of someone else’s everyday world.
I’m grateful for a simple place to sleep and for the chance to see life as it naturally happens around people - without masks or curated experiences.
I don’t host at the moment because I move frequently and don’t have a stable place to offer. One day I hope to have a home where I can give back and host travelers myself.
