About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a voice for the children

ABOUT ME

I am a kids person. I run several mentoring programs for kids. I believe in the potential of Africa as a continent to break away from the vicious cycle of poverty and contribute more positively to humanity. I am inspired to change the face of Africa by focusing on the upcoming generation. They are the leaders of tomorrow and if well nurtured I will have left an everlasting mark in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it! Live!!! Laugh!!! Love!!!!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in Couch surfing mostly as a host. I enjoy meeting new people and having a good laugh. all the my hosts acknowledge that I am a good cook. I treat all my hosts to a smooth blend of the Kenyan traditional cuisine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of my best friends and work mates are people I met through couch surfing. I love couch-surfers!!

Interests

I love children. I have branded myself as an ambassador for children. I engage in many projects that span from kids story books, mentoring programs. I seek to tell the story of the African child from a different light and hope that this will be my small contribution to the world. I also love basketball and use it to have fun and keep fit!!

Music, Movies & Books

Enjoy soft rock, African Rhumba. I like reading about people and their experiences. As such I find myself reading autobiographies a lot.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I began an orphanage in my house with two kids and basically no resources at all. 3 years down the line the kids rescue center is now home to over 60 kids!!That was amazing. Another amazing event was when we did the Kenyan version of 100 thousand poets for change. We invited the best poets in Kenya for entertainment. We had no entry charge for the event but asked people to come with either a book or a sanitary towels. The books were collected and donated to a children resource center while the sanitary towels were given in support of young girls who could not afford them and hence were missing valuable school days during their periods.

Teach, Learn, Share

every person has a powerful lesson they can teach another person. Like iron sharpens Iron so does one person sharpen the other. I can pick a lesson from anyone anywhere..:-)

Countries I've Visited

Mozambique, Nigeria
