Overview
About Me
I love to meet new people and expand my knowledge about the world, and I think that every interaction with someone is a chance to grow mutually, exponentially. Although I'm not rooted in one specific religion or culture, I think that each individual community and its traditions is what makes life beautiful and meaningful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Real traveling- even if I had all the money in the world I wouldn't want to stay at hotels- a Hilton is the same in Japan, in America, in Germany... the chance to be a part of someone's life, even if just for a day or two, is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Without the people that I meet and connect with, I probably would hardly travel at all. And, I always like to help remove the negative stigma associated with Americans hahaha

Music, Movies, and Books
Artists: Jim Croce, Billy Joel, Elton John, journey, the Beatles obviously, lana del Rey, Ariana grande, Peso Pluma, Quevedo
Movies: Amelie, Shawshank Redemption, Wolf of Wall Street, Interstellar, Spirited Away- anything by studio ghibli is great, but don't think because I'm Japanese I watch a bunch of anime- I gave up watching one piece after four episodes :(
Books: Back when I used to read, I loved any Roald Dahl books, Harry Potter obviously, and my favorite book of all time is Anne of Green Gables. Now I'm working on The Alchemist, although it's taking forever because my copy is in Spanish and I don't know Spanish... incómodo...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know, being put on the spot it's hard to remember. Maybe sandboarding down a volcano in Nicaragua? Or driving 55 hours across America (Orlando to Seattle)? Or riding camels in the Moroccan Sahara? Those are some top contenders.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak Japanese and English fluently. Learning Spanish. I'm half Japanese, grew up with a very Japanese mom, and also lived in Japan for a year. I also spent my childhood in the Midwest, my teenage years in Seattle WA, and the rest in Orlando FL, so I would say I know the USA quite well so I'm happy to share all of my cultures with you. I would also say I'm good at drawing and physics, and anything mechanical, and maybe I'll fix something in your house lol
