About Me

I like to take my time - to experience.
Life is a cycle, no need to rush anywhere, and winter will always come after the summer.
I'm trying to learn and remember that. Though, every season, i forget the wonders of the season coming just after...

To experience a different reality, you have to spend a good amount of time in one place. That's my way of travelling!
In a very interesting way, after 9 months somewhere, i feel that i've quite experienced the place.
Now, i'm trying to extend that length to settle down somewhere - for this time i'm trying in France, any hint where?

We are part of the circle and cycle of life, and interdependent with each other!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is the best way of discovering the world - through its people!

Hosted and surfed quite much - and now even more, with the capoeira connections!
I'm always amazed on how much we share while knowing so little - thanks CS/life for making such great connections!

Food (all the aspects of it) - growing, picking, cooking, canning, pickling, baking, eating...

Nature's wonders & Pacha Mama

Sports - hiking on trails, cycling in the countryside (i can cycle for hours and hours, it feels like meditating), mindfull meditation, swimming (lakes are my fave!), capoeira angola (and the people you meet through it), dance (salsa & tango - while being danced with a soul & gently, and lately traditional french folk!)

People - listening to stories, sharing ideas, learning from kids (they're such great teachers)

Ecology, education, poetry.

I'm also experiencing life through work - while working in organic fields, with artists, management, with children, disabled people, teaching urban agro-ecology, cooking, baking bread/doing pizzas, working in a library/theatre/dance company... Any advice for the next job?

Music, Movies, and Books

There are incredibly creative movies, music and books.
The few that pop up spontaneously to my mind:
- "In the mood for love" was quite a masterpiece - its music and actors.
- "Gett, the trial of Vivian Amsalem", by the brotherhood Elkabetz, is a more recent one - a must see on the women's status in Israel.
- "Entre leur mains" - about home birth.
There are so many low budget ones that have opened up new perspectives in my mind!

Music - mainly the ones with instruments and soul in it!
Afro, carribean, traditionnal, jazz, world...

Books - well different ones at differents times.
Lately, Tiziano Terzani.

If you should hear about one person - i would suggest to hear Vandana Shiva's talks. In key words, she's all about: ecology, biodiversity, feminism, seeds, transmission, politics, scientific...
