Hello,

My name is Myron D. Parks.

I am fascinated by ideas. For most of my life I have had an uncanny ability to connect disparate ideas and concepts in unique and intriguing ways. When I make these connections, I can typically explain them to others in very simple ways; I love analogies. The future excites me. While large numbers of people tend to shy away from what the future brings, I welcome it and have a very positive expectation for what it brings. I tend to be the person who says things like “wouldn’t it be cool if…?” When working through a problem, I generally see a clear success path where others see roadblocks or complexity. I love to learn. At work, this typically takes the form of me picking up complex systems and processes very quickly on short engagements, and leading teams to the finish line. Finally, when working on teams, I generally know the best way to activate both my peers and team members so that they can do their best work together.

My wife and I met sophomore year of high school and it was love at first sight. We've been together ever since! We love to travel and, in general, have a relaxed fun time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this will be a cool way to meet people in different cultures while we travel off the beaten path.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When in the US Navy, I finished school second in my class and got to pick land orders. Thus, while I was in the service, I never went on a naval vessel a single time.
