À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

I asked my friends how they would describe me and that's what they said/ murmured/ exclaimed:
'You have a twisted sense of humour but you never get the jokes.'
'Colour-blind. That's what you are!'
'Gosh, what are you up to?'
'You shoot pics that are almost good, read serious books on feminism and minorities while at the same time you watch anime and summer bluckbusters.'
'Ah, I remember you saying once that you wanted to be a pirate. How are you gonna reconcile that with "I-can't-swim" skills?'
'You keep travelling. You are hardly ever at home.'

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried Couch Surfing and it turned out to be both exciting and hilarious adventure, full of twists and good endings. I think I may get used to that:)

Centres d'intérêt

My life is focused on chocolate and marzipan and quest for the ultimate combination of those two.
I also happen to have been learning Spanish for the past few years and travelling.
When at home I spoil my guinea pig and two cats who have never realised that they have been at the top of the food chain and so have kept obeying the pig.
I've been practicing yoga for many years and once I used to climb.
I also like my work - translating and interpreting from English to Polish and the other way round.
I play harmonica from time to time.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books on minorities, feminism, migration. Recently read a Bite of the Mango on domestic war in Sierra Leone. And then Summer of Ubume by Natsuhiko Kyogoku.
Music? Mainly soundtracks and a bit of rock.
Movies? The worse crap, the better:) (but no romantic comedies - they are neither romantic nor really funny).
Movies about superheroes will do (can be animated)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I was awestruck when I survived a motorbike crush in Thailand (an unexpected meeting with a concerete and very square column) and the very same day left the hospital.
Another time I was proud when I managed to prepare a nice-looking and edible sushi.
Once I happened to visit my sister in the morning, bring her breakfast and somehow along with her I ended up at the top of the highest hill in the neighbourhood - it's all about taking the first step and letting feet carry you (it's also good to have a bottle of water and sneakers instead of pumps).
I was also mesmerized when riding a camel through the desert and elephant in the jungle.
