关于我
I hike. I dance. I travel.
I write. I create. I travel.
I care. I support. I learn.
I love travelling, going to new places and experiencing different perspectives, new customs and new cultures.
I'm quite organised and discreet.
Above all, I'm very adaptable.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I try to do 3 simple amazing things every week.
1 simple amazing thing for myself, 1 simple amazing thing for a friend, 1 simple amazing thing for a stranger
This past week the 3 simple amazing things were:
- Created a profile on couchsurfing (I believe - hope - it will be an amazing experience)
- Helped a friend start her first book
- Had a nice chat with a person who is keen to start a new chapter but needed some encouragement and some words from a fellow dreamer :)
教,学,和分享
Teach = what we've learned
Learn = what we need to know and the many things we don't even know we need to know
Share = our willingness, our kindness and our attention

I suppose hosting or being a guest should be a matter of balance, communication and understanding
Guests should understand how a place works and adapt to that place, hosts understand the responsibilities of hosting, so guests should likewise understand their responsibilities as a guest
Guests should also be vocal about anything that might be meaningful, hosts are kindly opening their homes and hearts to guest so guests should make sure they keep a healthy communication channel, and hosts should also feel encouraged to say whatever might be needed.
Hence the balance.
I suspect most people who are on couchsurfing, do so, in hopes of meeting new people, learning and sharing, but how much we share and learn should be about balance, some people might need more space at times, some people might have more time to share, guests should talk to their hosts and hosts should talk to their guests to establish the right balance.
Or at least that is what I think. I'm looking forward to experiencing couchsurfing to learn more about it :)
