CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy it while I'm young and enthusiastic!
ABOUT ME
I moved to NZ about 8 years ago and absolutely love this amazing place! It's just coming up to summer and the sun is getting pretty brutal - unfortunately (I actually mean fortunately) I decided to book a trip to London a few days ago and am going to be there in the middle of winter! For two whole months. Yes, I know it's crazy but I'm going to start work next year as a Registered Nurse (REAL NURSE) in the Orthopaedic operating theatres and would like to have one last LONG holiday before I a grown-up (=[/=]) I moved out of home a couple of years ago so I understand the joys/stress of paying rent and all that jazz. I want to know what life is like from locals - anywhere I go. So yes, that pretty much sums my situation up right about now.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone has a story or two to tell.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Offering a couch for a drink/laugh. Looking for a couple of couches over Nov/Dec in London.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My neighbours hosted someone from South America for a few nights last year. The guy was pretty quite and shy, but he had a roof over his head and a good meal. Couchsurfing seemed like a really good way of getting to know the locals and I know if I visited student flats like ours, it sure would've been an experience(we were a pretty poor bunch, so being able to help someone without spending money was great!). I think it's important to get to know people who live there everyday, as no one else knows the ins and outs of the place better than them!

Music, Movies, and Books
If it sounds good to someone, I'll appreciate it - I may not actively choose to listen to it, but I don't mind most music. I particularly enjoy dub/electronic, some rock, reggae and anything I like. Books... currently reading Voltaire - Candide if that tells you anything. I liked Life of Pi, Perfume and Janet Jackson's autobiography (don't judge til you've read it). Movies.. not fussy, not too keen on scary ones though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scrub nurse for spinal surgery - that was amazing.
