About Me
☆꧁✬◦°˚°◦. Hello My Frieeeeeends! .◦°˚°◦✬꧂☆
My name is Tuğba;
I’m a travel content creator from İstanbul. I love storytelling, being on the road, and living life at my own pace. Professionally, I work as a media executive — managing advertising campaigns for brands at the agency I’m part of. But my true passion has always been being on the road, and it still is. In 2022, I bought a one-way ticket to India and left my country for the first time.
Since then, I’ve traveled solo through 13 countries, mostly hitchhiking with just my backpack. Along the way, I got to know myself better and shared my journey through vlogs on my YouTube channel. For me, traveling isn’t just about moving from one place to another; it’s a way to get closer to myself, break free from routines, and feel truly free. Discovering new cultures, connecting with nature, and living simply — these are the things that nourish me the most. I love finding new ways to express myself, learning new things, and building meaningful connections.
Now, as of October 2025, I’m back on the road again; because I know that I truly exist in the journey itself. ,
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, Couchsurfing is not just an accommodation app; it’s a place where I truly connect with people, share stories, and build genuine friendships. When I travel, meeting locals, getting a glimpse into their lives, and experiencing their culture from the inside mean a lot to me.
Thanks to Couchsurfing, I’m not just staying somewhere for free — I’m making new friends, gaining different perspectives, and making my travels much more meaningful.
I believe the most beautiful part of traveling is the sincere connections and shared memories we create with people. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to open my home to the world and also be a guest in the lives of people from all around the globe. That’s why Couchsurfing is an indispensable part of my journey.
Couchsurfing is one of the most helpful apps during my travels, and it truly holds a special place in my journey. I deeply value my references and the genuine connections I build with people — and I expect the same respect and sincerity in return.

【 This is not a dating app! You might notice a few negative or odd “personal references” on my profile. Unfortunately, these were written intentionally by people whose personal advances I politely declined. Please don’t let those shape your opinion of me. If you’d like to get a real sense of who I am, I kindly ask you to read the references from the hosts I’ve actually met and stayed with. Those are the ones that truly reflect me.】

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled about 2,000 km by hitchhiking to cross countries. I started hitchhiking from Cambodia to the city of Chiang Mai, located in northern Thailand. It took me about two days — hitchhiking through monsoon rains!
Teach, Learn, Share
✷ Turkish cuisine is super rich and delicious. Especially Turkish breakfast is amazing! I’d love to teach you how to make “menemen,” the most famous breakfast dish here.
✷ I’d be really happy if you could share with me detailed info about your country, culture, and some cool tourist spots as well as local hidden gems.
✷ And if you’re up for it, we can film daily travel vlogs together for my YouTube channel!
