One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have unforgetable experience in my life when I have been at the American aircraft carrier. I have a friend in Malaysia, who is a director of a museum and I visited her last October. She got an invitation from the American Ambassador for the reception that was held on the aircraft carrier. I begged her to take me to the Reception and we tried to pass through the check point. To her great surprise and my great joy I was allowed to the taxi boat that sailed to the aircraft carrier CVN 74 (U.S.S. John C. Stennis).
It was really awestruck night in my life- towering 20 stories above the waterline and stretching 1092 feet from bow to stern, the ship’s massive 4.5 acre flight deck serves as the launching pad for the Navy’s Carrier Air Wing Nine. I shook hands with American Ambassador, Admiral of the ship and officers, I was shown the Captain bridge and talked to friendly pilots and sailors. I enjoyed the malasian national dancings and songs and tasted the sea food I never tried before.
