Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know new people and explore new places, but I am a bit hesitant about spending time at a stranger's house. Unlucky for me, I am unable to splurge on luxuries such as pay for my stays in some places. But then I wonder what the worst that could happen; new experiences could either be awesome or awful, and I want to try this new thing for me.
