About Me

Hey y’all, I’m Nadia, I’m 19 years old and I come from Germany. I love exploring new places and getting to know new cultures. As I am an open-minded, adventurous and curious person, I think Couchsurfing is a perfect way to make new friendships all over the world. Before I start going to college this fall, me & my best friend Joana want to travel along the east coast of Australia. We would be more than happy if we could find hosts that don’t only offer us their couch, but who are also interested in getting to know each other and each other’s culture. We can’t wait to make unforgettable memories with y’all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time, I heard of Couchsurfing was only a few months ago in one of my last french lessons before my graduation. Our teacher recommended us this website, in order to meet people from all over the world. She explained that it’s on the one hand a good way to have a place to stay whenever you go somewhere, because you would always have company that is able to show you places like no one else is, bc they are native. Moreover, she said that it’s a perfect way to bring vacation or another culture back to your place. Of course I made some researches and reading about all the great experiences other people have already made, I can’t wait to make some of my own!

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my absolute favorite bands is “The Chainsmokers” , thus I really enjoy listening to Rihanna and Beyoncé.
In general I love reading books, no matter what kind of genre except from horror stories, but my by far undoubtedly favorite book is “After Passion” by Anna Todd. The story is captivating, nerve-wrecking and just brilliant, it’s definitely worth a try!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best decisions so far was going to the USA for six months. When I was 16 years old, I took part in an exchange programme which sent me to Louisiana. I sure can tell that these few months were some of the best ones of my life. This adventure did not only raise my interest in exploring many more parts in the world, it also showed me how many great, funny and interesting people there are and always will be to get to know. I made friendships that will last forever and I cannot wait to make many more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I’m foreign to other countries, I would love to be taught about the places I visit. Sharing some time together, we could show each other our favourite places, depending on who’s the host. Thus, I really want to get to know new cultures which of course includes food.
