ABOUT ME

I love spending time with my dear friends and am always happy to meet new kindred spirits.

I mostly have radical thoughts about the environment, animals, womyn, liberation movements and thrive when engaged in activities such as- protests, making art/seeing art, punk shows, speaking events, political prisoner letter writing nights, and seeing a life changing film -now that I'm older- (I made most of the above list 7 years ago) while cute & fun, I have slowed down a bit and really enjoy taking it easy too- I lived in San Francisco/bay area for 15 years and have recently moved back to the Pacific North West.

I acknowledge my privilege and always try to be a better whitey in this racist US. I'm always so appreciative of having conversations with people who aren't from the US and hearing their perspectives.

I -still- enjoy going to shows, cooking and baking vegan treats, getting out of the city and into the trees, seeing films, reading, walking, and roller skating.

I aspire to be a boxer one day (and play the ukulele)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be a traveler for the rest of my life and I'm glad to be on this site. Unfortunately, I do not have a consistent couch to offer at the moment. I do like to meet travelers and play tour guide though. In the future I hope to have space to share my home again with couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whenever I have had a couch available in my home, travelers have always been welcome. I have stayed with many people in many different places throughout the years, both with strangers and with friends. I love the way travelers get excited to see a new place and talk about where they just were.

Interests

I am interested in liberation movements. Including but not limited to; political prisoners, radical queers, the Black Panthers, animals, earth, womyn, Puerto Rican Independence, indigenous struggles, Zapatistas...

I love music to a fault. It is an understatement to say that I am obsessed with The Smiths and Morrissey (he does say some horrible things though)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Cambodia and visited Angkor Wat at sunrise. The images are burned into my memory, it was overwhelmingly beautiful to witness.

I can work with you, do you like to spend time with your guests or simply host without much social stress? I'm happy to make a genuine connection and share stories, thoughts and dreams &/or smiles as we come and go. I am on your couch because I still have faith in the basic goodness of humans and meeting people through this site has proved it many times.
