About Me

I grew up in East Germany, next to the Polish and Czech borders - a very nice region called Upper Lusatia. After living in „the green heart of Germany“ (Thuringia) I moved to the cultural city of Dresden and then to Austria to live and work in the Alps. So I came around a little, but this was not enough.
For this reason, I traveled around the world between October 2022 and January 2024. What an amazing experience! I would have loved to continue but came back to Austria to finish my specialisation as family doctor.

I am a bubbly person, love to talk, am naturally curious, easy to excite, use my hands a lot while talking, tend to exaggerate in storytelling, might seem a little distracted sometimes and can be a very good friend. On the other hand, I can also just have nice walks with thoughtful conversations or listen to other people‘s stories.
I want to live life to the fullest.

I love good food and step by step improve my cooking skills. As I am always open to try new tastes, I also would love to cook or dine together.

I like sustainability topics. I am far away from being perfect but I try to do my best to avoid plastic, buy local and be conscious about our environment.

For potential guests (right now I live on 20 sqm so I unfortunately can’t host):
I'm not interested in people who "just want a place to stay for free", my home is not a hostel. I don't expect you to be around all day, of course - I also have to work. You can do whatever you want, ask questions and get information any time. But let‘s try to get to know each other :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During the years, I met many great people with big hearts and a lot of joy of living. To me, couchsurfing is much more than a way of accomodation. It's fun, stories, adventures and friendships.
You can visit any place on earth but without interacting with locals you will never feel the spirit which makes countries (and people) so different and interesting.

Interests

I used to be a freetime model and actress for about six years and I cannot imagine a life without any kind of expression (due to my job, I don‘t act anymore but I am creative in handworking, woodworking and so on).
Whenever I got time, I try to restore old furniture I found on flee markets or bulk trash.
I love handcrafts and usually do something - from knitting, handlettering, making cards, creating little fairy houses from trash and clay.
Nature is very important to me - whenever I can, I try to be outside. I love to have a picnic while hiking, just sit outside in lonely natural spaces.

Music, Movies, and Books

Quite diverse - my playlist is filled with songs of so many countries (I love to shazam songs of places I visit and keep the vibes for later), ranging from A to Z. You will find Ska next to Piano sounds, anime soundtracks after German alternative, Asian fun songs followed by thoughtful Rap. It‘s hard to describe but mirrors my life and my personality perfectly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel around the world for one year. The world is just too big to discover in a lifetime!

Pilgriming in Japan - the Shikoku 88 Henro trail. An amazing and maybe life-changing experience.

Shave my head completely from having long hair and donated my hair twice - children suffering from cancer may get a wig to feel more confident.

Acting in big performances - it's always a gift to perform in front of an audience and present what the whole team rehearsed for months.

Swim in bioluminescent plankton during full moon. I became a child again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes I got selfmade food like wine, liquor, jam or bread you can taste. Maybe even sweets ^^
We can go on a walk/hike, chat, go on some sightseeing, swim in lakes, have a German or Austrian beer, go to the christmas market in December or whatever you would like to try or see. I‘m very open and love adventures.
