About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently traveling in El Salvador and discovering this beautiful country!

Travel started to become a real passion with a year abroad after high school when I was 19! Little did I know, when I started that journey to New Zealand, how much it would change me and how I see the world.
Since my 15months-around-the-world-trip, I try to travel every year a couple of months. Intent to take into life all the wonderful things I learned while wandering the beautiful places of our earth, meeting amazing people and continue to learn, grow and leave a positive impact for people and our planet.

ABOUT ME

My name is Nadine and I'm from a wonderful rural area in Germany which is called the Black Forest. I'm a dreamer and try to live my dreams. I used to work in tourism; now I'm a yoga teacher & doing live travel documentaries.
While 'on the road' I've learned already many things for life and would like to see and learn more. Besides that I love animals and wildlife (but in the wild not in zoos), especially whales and dolphins.
Yoga & meditation are big interests of mine and also hiking, diving, creativity with watercolours & Makramé, reading books, being in nature (I'm truely a forest-girl). I'm also interested in plant medicine, especially cacao is accompanying me since many years! I like cooking and embrace a vegan lifestyle as I love animals; they are friends 🧡.

PHILOSOPHY

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire!
Never stop to follow your dreams!
DREAM big, LIVE simple, BE grateful, LAUGH often, LOVE lots
Helping others makes you very happy.
Experiences enrich life, not possessions and material things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, mostly books about traveling, philosophy, conservation, animals, spirituality, shamanism also some phantasy.
Favourite books: The alchemist (Paulo Coelho), Merlin (T.A. Barron), The dreaming dolphin (Sergio Bambaren), Into the wild (John Krakauer), Around the world in 80 days (Jules Verne) and lots more.

Movie taste is quite mixed and changes at times: Chocolat, Into the wild, Tracks, Wild-from lost to found, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Amelie; also love to watch documentaries.

Music...hmm I love Latin music, mainly Cumbia and Bachata, also acoustic guitar and Irish Folk music...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with wild dolphins up close...wow that was a magic moment

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe you can learn something from every person so being open to new things is important. I'm more than happy to share my experiences and travel stories, maybe do some yoga together and cooking or baking a yummy meal/dessert.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Am very grateful to my hosts and would like to give something in exchange. I love deep conversations, sharing travel stories and experiences. Also I'm more than happy to share a yoga class, cook or bake for you (my granny's apple pancakes are much appreciated by my past couchsurfer hosts;) can also teach some German!
