ABOUT ME

Hmm.. this is always difficult :) I am currently studying Environmental Sciences at the University of Basel in Switzerland, and besides being really enthusiastic about my studies I also enjoy filling my free time with social and outdoor activities. I enjoy the time I can spend with my friends & family and I'd always chose a day of hiking over a day at the Spa (well.. maybe sometimes I'd make an exception ;)). As it is expected from someone who grew up in Switzerland I also enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, building snowmen and taking pictures of the magnificent mountain panoramas and landscapes in Switzerland and everywhere else.
As you might guess, I also enjoy traveling and I believe that there is always more to be seen and done and that you should never stop traveling, because traveling teaches you to accept things that are different and to never lose the ability to marvel. Hope this wasn't toooo cheesy :)

I'm broadly interested in everything that has to do with nature and I like to spend my free time actively. For the nature part, I especially love botany. I also enjoy hiking, photography, all kinds of water sports (swimming, surfing, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.), running and - of course - traveling.

Music: I like a little bit of everything; I sometimes also enjoy listening to the good old bands like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles or Queen. From the modern stuff I enjoy bands like Mando Diao, Imagine Dragons, etc.

Seeing the sunrise from the top of Haleakalā in Maui on a perfect day with a sea of fog below me and a perfect sky above me.
