About Me

Hi there! :)
I'm Nadya, a friendly and curious traveler from Mexico, always looking for new adventures and cultural exchanges. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing stories, and discovering unique local spots.

I have a background in Industrial Engineering, and I’m passionate about sustainability, travel, and cultural experiences. I’ve lived in Mexico, France, Germany and Belgium, and I’m always excited to explore more!

When I travel, I love hiking, cooking, photography, dance and visit museums, and I always enjoy learning about the local way of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of cultural exchange and meeting locals rather than just being a tourist. Staying with hosts allows me to experience places from a different perspective and share good conversations, food, and laughs:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of Costa de Ámbar (local Mexican band, they have been my most listened artist 4 years in a row lol), The Killers (big fan since I was 10 years old) , and Wallows (I became a fan recently, they're amazing).

My favorite movies are Forrest Gump and Big Hero 6.

My favorite book from all times is Le Petit prince. And of course all dystopic trilogies that were popular when I was a teenager jejeje

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living abroad for a couple of years was a huge step for me. One of the most valuable lessons I learned was how to embrace uncertainty and thrive in new environments.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to share my experiences of living abroad, tips on traveling on a budget, and anything related to mexican culture!

I’m also passionate about sustainability and always up for discussions on how to live and work more sustainably.

I’d love to learn about different cultures, local cuisines, and new ways of seeing the world. If you have a favorite recipe, travel story, or life lesson, I’d be more than happy to hear it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Stories from my travels and experiences
- Cooking some Mexican food (like chilaquiles, quesadillas, molletes, etc.)
- Language exchange (I speak Spanish, English, and a bit of French!)
- Help with anything around the house if needed
- Lots of positive energy!
