Hello, I'm Nahrek! I usually live in San Francisco, California, but I am spending 2019 traveling around the world! I love to explore and learn! This means meeting new people, learning about new cultures/religions, trying new foods, etc. I would describe myself as curious, kind, and social.

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think travel is invaluable and should be an option for everybody. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to meet people from different backgrounds and with different interests!

Things I Love:
-Food! I eat pretty much everything and love trying local cuisine. I especially love taking "food tours" in the cities I visit as a way to get to know the city and try its food.
-Reading! Shantaram, Siddhartha, and Harry Potter are my favorite books. I'm currently reading East of Eden!
-Learning! I love learning about different subjects, cultures, religions, etc. I'm a firm believer that meeting people of different backgrounds is one of the best ways to learn. I also love going to going to museums, concerts, and other performances in the cities I visit as a way to broaden my horizons!
-Sports! Basketball is my main sport, and I've played since I was a child. I also love watching Soccer and Football.
-Coffee! I'm always on the hunt for the best coffee in the city. A day is not complete without a cup or two :)
-Games! I am a huge fan of board games (Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Puerto Rico, Ticket to Ride), card games, video games, drinking games, etc. You name the game and I'm down to play!
-Music! My music taste is pretty eclectic, but it's a super important part of my life. I usually attend 3-4 music festivals a year. Most recently, I went to Coachella in the U.S!

Favorite Music: I love all sorts of music - everything from EDM to hip-hop to folk to indie to rock to soundtrack. Some of my favorite bands/artists include, The Avett Brothers, The XX, Kygo, Hans Zimmer, Coldplay, Frenship, Matoma, Glass Animals, Lil Wayne (pre-2010), and Mumford & Sons
Favorite Movies: Glory, Inception, Remember the Titans, Shutter Island, Harry Potter, Interstellar, and pretty much any Tom Hanks/Leonardo DiCaprio movie
