About Me

Quick intro. Chilean but born in California. Lived some years in Mexico and Italy. Have been backpacking Central and South America these last two years. Haven't been using CS at all, but I would like to start soon with a little help from my friends, old and new. I translate while travelling, which keeps me going, but I also have creative writing projects underway. I teach bookbinding as well, whenever the occasion presents itself, and collaborate with artists in this small project. I'm travelling at present, but when I get back to Chile I will be able to offer volunteer programs for artists to participate in my bookbinding project which is located in a beautiful old colonial house, very close to Santiago. Depending on where I land in Santiago, I may be able to offer a couch on certain occasions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with sharks in Polynesia was lots of fun. Cruising around the Galapagos islands in a catamaran definitely was incredible. And living with a Boras community in the Peruvian Amazon was, of course, amazing. But I think if you can get the right set of people around the fire just to laugh and have a good time , that's pretty awesome too, regardless of where you are.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really like teaching bookbinding, for those who like to draw or write or surprise a friend with a cool hand-made notebook. I've led workshops in cultural centers and schools in Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. And I'm developing a small project to collaborate with artists, both as an exchange and a volunteer opportunity.
