Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because a friend of mind sing me up!
It was few weeks before moving to The Netherlands for an Erasmus exchange when I could finally book my accomodation there. Unfortunatelly the starting date of my rental agreement some days after my plane would have landed there. Thus, I had no place to stay for almost a week and the hostels in the city were almost full (or with crazy prizes).
Then, this friend made my Couchsurfing account, forced me to fill the information required and to send some couchrequests. In a couple days I already had 2 people available for hosting me!! An unknown person!!
At the beginning I was not very confident with the system and with the fact that I was going to stay alone at someone's place. But... It ended up to be an incredible experience!!! I am very happy with the host I got those days, and also with those I found afterwards, in my little trips around Europe during my Erasmus exchange period.
