ABOUT ME

I love film. I love theatre, I love performance arts and art in general. I am a writer-director. I love meeting people from all over the world: I was fortunate enough to have gone to international school and to have met from around the globe. I love travelling and food!

I've been living in Finland ever since I was 2 - apart from 3 and half years I spent studying film in London. I am back in Finland now, and if you are ever in town, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'll be more than happy to have a cup of coffee and show you Helsinki for a day or two.

I love that the idea behind this community is genuinity and kindness; offering a couch to complete strangers! My mother always warned me about strangers - especially when I went abroad, but I have never subscribed to the idea of fear. I believe we are all the same; from the same source of energy, and whatever you expect, you will get.

Far too many to list, unfortunately! But to give you some idea: I love James Cameron and Billy Wilder; I love Black Eyed Peas and U2, I love Samuel Beckett and Margaret Atwood. Of course I would love to add Harold Pinter, Sofi Oksanen, Dostojevsky, Pushkin, Majakovski, Shakespeare, Enrique Vila-Matas, Jane Austen, Sirpa Tabet, Hemingway, Shakespeare, Herman Hesse, Thomas Mann, Kafka, but then I wouldn't know how to stop! Needless to say, I love books. Almost as much as films.

You have to believe in what you're doing.

I don't drink or smoke because I want to enjoy life as authentically as possible, but this doesn't mean I mind those who do.

I can teach you some really awesomely delicious East-African food that you can enjoy long after I'm back in my home town :) I can teach you Finnish, Swedish or Somali - your pick.
