ABOUT ME

I am a student at Texas State University, majoring in Geography - Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Construction Technology - Architectural Design. I will graduate in December of 2009 and then start traveling for as long as I can before settling on a career. When I'm not focusing on school, I like to party with friends, watch movies, read books, paint, make jewelry, go to music festivals/concerts, ride my bike, cook, and anything that life throws at me.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to not take life too seriously. I feel as though I'm on this earth to experience as much as possible and to enjoy it whenever I can. I never want to be in a position that I feel as though I'm only alive to work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently met a couchsurfer that was staying with a friend of mine and he inspired me to join this project. I want to help those out there who have a thirst for travel and need a place to stay. Hopefully when I set out on my journey I'll be given the same accommodations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only met one couchsurfer, and he was awesome! Other than that, I am a couchsurfing virgin!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy books by Tom Robbins, James A. Michener, H.G. Wells, and many more. I love watching any movie at least once. Big fan of The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, City of God, Science of Sleep, Spaceballs, Anchorman, The Godfather series, and tons others. As far as music goes, my spectrum is vast. I like anything from Wu-Tang to Sublime, to Modest Mouse to Otis Redding to James Brown to Regina Spektor to The Roots to Kings of Leon to Jack Johnson to Charlie Feathers... literally anything that has a great sound and great lyrics.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be able to share my Cuban history, cooking skills, and knowledge of the geography of the area surrounding San Marcos, which is absolutely beautiful.
