About Me

Seeing the world, one country at a time.

I'm a longtime Canadian expat who lives, works, and travels in Asia and beyond.I've been in Asia since 2000, and will be here for the foreseeable future. I have a passion for photography and food.

This past year, I spent time in Spain, Czech, and Hungary. I loved all three countries, and hope to go back some time. I'll be spending the winter of 2013 in Thailand, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai.

I prefer hosting or meeting CSers who are closer to my own age, and have something in common with. If you send me a request two days before you are due to arrive, I probably won't have a couch to offer.

I love Korean food, and am always happy to have a meal with anyone visiting Daejeon.

Contact me if you'd like to share a coffee or a meal!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If I am in Daejeon when you are visiting, I'll be happy to show you around. Coffee and lunch or dinner are also a pleasant option. We have a great symphony orchestra here in Daejeon, so that is always a possibility.

I've been a host and I have been hosted. Both experiences brought me in touch with some very nice people.

Travel, photography, culture, food, traditional music and dance, blogging, meeting people, good conversation, scrabble, my cat INDY.
