I live in Louisville, Kentucky, home of the Kentucky Derby, and a surprisingly good restaurant scene, the urban bourbon trail, the *other* Olmsted Central Park and iron clad facades. our thrifting isn't overpriced and UPS has a hub here, so don't be fooled by "international" in the name of our airport. Ha!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been caregiver to family, and haven't been able to travel. It's that itch you can't scratch! I've lived in Paris, France, and Stockholm Sweden, returning to the states to Chicago, before returning to Kentucky where I met my husband.

Music: surprise me

I grew up listening to Mom's big band, Dad's classical, played five instruments, then in late teens found an outlet for rage and my tribe in punk rock. As I got older, I got into jazz, Paris Lounge, Detroit minimalist techno, and am pretty much across the board.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reduced my life from 3 bedroom home to 3 suitcases (one had my linens), and a one way ticket to CDG, knowing one person who let me couch surf for three days, after having met her a few months prior, and had a 45 minute conversation.
