I am an I/ENFP to the Nth degree and strive to be my most authentic self. Artist moonlighting as a bartender, trying to find my place in the scheme of things. Between work and art, I spend a lot of time on my bike exploring Portland with friends or on my own and it's amazing food culture, museums, art and beautiful parks. I love wandering a new neighborhood with a cup of coffee, never knowing who I might meet or what I might find or just taking a drive to one of the many hidden gems whether it be the coast, mountains or small quirky town a little out of the way! I crave balance and am most comfortable with one on one connections, small groups and love exploring and outings with friends old and new as much as I enjoy solitude and autonomy.
The pursuit of equality in all of it's forms, understanding and coexistence is an integral and driving factor in the way I live my life and as Kurt Vonnegut said "Hate is about as nourishing as cyanide." I truly believe that even with every crappy thing we experience in life, we all have the capacity to inhabit inner peace, freedom, love and connection, that this is the natural state of being human that with the power of community, friendships and love, we can find our way back to it.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Many years ago when I was visiting Turkey, my group and I met a women from Istanbul who was part of the Couchsurfing network and invited us to stay with some friends/members while we were in the city. It turned out to be such an amazing opportunity and honor to be welcomed into their homes with such hospitality and kindness, offering tips and advice on how to get around the city and where to go, but most importantly opening my eyes to a whole new cultural perspective and experience. We got to know travelers from across the globe thanks to couchsurfing, some of whom I still keep in touch with. I never officially joined the network until today, but I am planning to move from Portland, OR and hope to connect with locals in cities I am thinking of relocating to. After this life transition, I hope to spread my wings once more and see the world!!

Free climbed up a 40-60 ft rock in a natural boulder garden in the middle of a stream in Colorado, jumping from boulder to boulder ... I was young and fearless at one point in my life

Bouldered and explored the Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia, Turkey

One night in Turkey, we were having a night time picnic on the Mediterranean at some point we ended up in the water only to realize we were surrounded by phosphorescent plankton and every movement was met with a sparkling blue light. Conversation quieted as we swam in the glowing blue water under the stars feeling an awe of the powerful living energy in and all around us. Beautiful and humbling!

I have a insatiable curiosity and love learning whether it's how to say thank you in Turkish or how to weld together a rocking chair to how to make the perfect apple upside down cake (cornmeal is key!), I have a lot of random knowledge and skills in a lot of random subjects and mediums and love sharing what I know and learning something I don't, a win win for any curious mind!

I fall right down the middle of the spectrum of introvert and extrovert, pretty easy going and am down to hang out and do things together, but am also comfortable wandering and discovering on my own.
Love to cook, handy with tools, clean and organized, creative and always happy to help out with projects/missions. Listening, learning, sharing experiences, ideas and connection with mutual respect as well as embarking on adventures are a few of my favorite things.
Also love to collaborate and brainstorm on creative projects and enjoy silly existential adventures in imagination and thought.
