About Me

Hey there! My name is Naomi, and this little thing's name is Calligula (pictured left).

I'm 20 years old and I am a born and raised Californian living in Barcelona but I am also 100% Mexican

Something about my future travel goals: I've never lived more than 15 mins away from the beach and I plan to keep it that way so after I finish my studies I plan to teach english in Thailand but for now I crave European adventures.

activities/ interests: I love nature (specifically the ocean), staying active, being with friends, cooking, and animals to the point of where if I find my productivity at a low, I pick myself up by telling myself I must work hard to provide for my future dogs.

Character: I am vegetarian, feminist and would like to think of myself as outgoing, adaptable, respectful, kind, sometimes a bit dramatic, responsible, determined, and optimistic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I realize that many things that I know about the cities I've lived in would be very hard to know or discover as a temporary guest so meeting locals is the best way to discover the best parts of a destination without living in it for a long period of time plus, I have always loved meeting people. Being Mexican and American means I get the best of both of these worlds but 2 is not enough! I want to get to know as many as is possible in one lifetime and the best way to do that is to meet others willing to share their worlds with me.

Movies: any musicals
Book: the secret life of bees

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been living in Barcelona for a couple months and have tried to get to know the city as much as possible and even though I'm not a native, I feel that I can give good recommendations for what to do, see, or eat around here. I've been told I'm a great host which is one of the best compliments I can get and I definitely get it from my momma.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Smiles, conversations, help washing your dishes to thank you. I also speak Spanish and am an English teacher so I have some language knowledge to share.
