COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done some traveling in France and stayed with Couchsurfers there. I also have hosted a bit here in Berkeley. I love to attend community events and show people around town.

Interests

I love to dance, sing, and draw. I feel at home when I'm near the ocean. I would love to meet other musicians and artists to make stuff together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all about art: I love film festivals and stuff that's somewhere between commercial and art house like Almodóvar films.
My current favorite genre for singing is folk: if you're a musician I would love to play together. Main instrument is voice and Im working on improving my guitar skills.
I'm definitely a fiction lover. Favorite modern novels I've read recently: Speak No Evil, Americanah. Best old novel I've read recently: Middlemarch.
For listening purposes I like folk, jazz, motown, soul.

I am also very spiritual. I have some exercises that can help you figure out what brings you joy vocationally. I am a firm believer that everyone has something unique and beautiful to contribute to our community. I'm also really into aromatherapy and relaxation techniques.

Professionally, I have been trained in some trauma recovery tapping techniques, as well as EMDR. I can't practice on you as a therapist but I can share some pretty fantastic techniques for stress reduction, making decisions, and working through challenges.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could also make you a drawing or lead you through some relaxation exercises. I'm a good cook and a fun companion for adventures, dancing, and karaoke.
I was an English teacher for a bit. Super down to do language exchange.
