Overview
About Me
I am now living nomadic life so am unable to host.
CURRENT MISSION
I am writing Act 4 of my life, traveling the world to hang out with and document the activities and passions of people living at high vibrations of love, unity and deep connection with Mother Earth.
ABOUT ME
I am a mongrel mix of preppie/townie/hippie with a entrepreneur/adventurer streak where I feel comfortable in just about any situation. I have been living in Naples, FL since kindergarten as a snowbird (consider Provincetown, MA to be my hometown) spent 10 years in Chicago until 1985 then full time in Naples since. I really enjoy good conversation with soulful people on a wide variety of topics and always am looking to expand my sense of community. I enjoy sharing recipes with anyone who would like to teach and learn how to create delicious options in a healthy lifestyle.
PHILOSOPHY
Existence is the great miracle. Clearly there is an organizing force in the universe of that creates order out of chaos where unity, harmony and evolving order are the highest guiding principles. Unfortunately, human nature tends to get in the way of realizing that we are living in the Garden of Eden.
Any belief that separates us has nothing to do with God. And I have little notion of God other than All that Is.
Life has no inherent meaning or purpose. It is simply an opportunity... to create meaning and discover purpose. Or is it discover meaning and create purpose??? As long as it is life fully lived, we can ask for little more.
Live and act mindful of future generations. I enjoy following Stoic and Taoist philosophy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Open hearted connection, listening, love and graciousness, learning how to receive as well as I know how to give, and just enjoying the swirling tapestry of colorful humanity. If you are looking for a heavy party scene, beer pong, etc. I suggest you inquire elsewhere. I like to get up early, have a breakfast of fresh local fruit and rich coffee, and then see what the day has to offer. I often can arrange my schedule to show people around, but it will be more about the beautiful nature of SW Florida than shopping and drinking. A picnic on the beach at sunset with some wine and healthy organic food is more my style. I enjoy people who are mellow, thoughtful and conscious.
I am building out a camper van and hope to connect with people all over North America through couchsurfing for information on how best to enjoy and explore their region. I also have a new YouTube channel, Be in the Flow, that documents my travels to reveal the deep heart and soul of beautiful places around the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have really enjoyed the people I have hosted and am looking forward to traveling to meet others in the wonderful CS community, It does take a special type of person to jump into this, and I find the open and adventurous qualities that seems to be the essential traits of CSers to be most appealing. I have a lovely little cottage about 1 mile from the beach and am happy to offer my bike to take the 15 minute ride to the beach. I am in the process of selling this so catch me while you can.
Interests
Biking, walks on the beach, nature, authenticity, connection, community, and ethnic veggie cooking. Love to travel and hike. Especially love mountains, continuous learning, and expressing gratitude in every moment for the amazing gift of existence.

Music, Movies, and Books
Enjoy Sam Harris - End of Faith - and Richard Dawkins - The Ancestors Tale and others. I enjoy a wide range of music, probably world fusion as a favorite, and anything that makes me want to lose myself in dance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went treasure hunting for two summers and found 1715 Spanish treasure...Made video travel guides for five years (fun!)... Owned and programmed a local TV station for eight years...But the most amazing thing was a wild dolphin encounter in the Bahamas where I was greeted by two alpha males in a most amazing ritual in 40 feet of water, but this is a story that will be shared when we meet. I enjoy the teachings of Eckhert Tolle and the Power of Now. I may one day finish a book I started 20 years ago on tapping into the Flow that is the Oneness of All.
Teach, Learn, Share
Lots of local knowledge of Naples, FL and the Caribbean islands. Enjoy talking and learning about world religions, spirituality, environment, parenting and community building.
I also like to share with new Couchsurfers some points of etiquette that I believe will help in the search for hosts:
I usually do not take guests who are only staying one night because there is no time for a meaningful exchange. Arriving late in the day and leaving early in the morning makes it feel like I am simply a free motel operator left with sheets to clean.
I generally do not take Couchsurfers who have not bothered to take the time to thoughtfully fill out their profiles. (You can look at mine if you need ideas of what a completed profile looks like;) If you want greater success in finding hosts, I suggest that you take the time to fill out your profile. Nor do I accept unregistered friends or relatives of registered Couchsurfers. As a host, I like to know who I am inviting into my home.
One final suggestion. When you make a request, include something that shows you have read the host's profile. Otherwise, it looks like you are simply copying and pasting a generic message without regard to the individual host. Some hosts also include a request that you include a keyword in your request to demonstrate that you have read the whole profile, or they will simply not consider you. In my case, including the keyword dolphin will impress me with your diligence.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good stories, cooking, and a joie de vie.
