About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spending quality time with the people I love.

ABOUT ME

I'm passionate about art, especially photography. If I could dedicate all my time to primarily visiting every art museum, then I would be living the perfect life. But, perfect is boring. So, I do like to make my own museums by wandering the cities I travel to. I love learning about new cultures, practices of life, and even a new words. Also, I live to cook. Whether it's a good or a bad day, I love experimenting my vegan cuisine in the kitchen! More importantly, I'm a simple person who likes find the beauty in the little things of life while appreciating the day for what it's worth.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in this life happens for a reason, so there's no reason to dwell on the past or anticipate for the future. We must live in the now and embrace what we have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I advertise CS to everyone who is thinking about cheap travel, and I, myself, love it! I have met people through events near my area, on couches in Belgium and through other couch-surfing friends.

Every time I mention CS to a person, I make sure to watch their faces dramatically change.

First it's: "Nicole, You're crazy."
Then it's: "Where's she going with this?"
Finally it's: "That's kinda cool, what's the website called?"

So how do I participate? By spreading the word and jumping on board the adventure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just begun the adventures of couch surfing! I stayed in Belgium and had two different hosts along with two more hosts in Holland! The surfers were so nice and completely different. I personally think CS is the only way to travel. I mean, what's better than living like a local with a local? And, I have hosted once, and I'm still in close contact with him! It was so much fun, and I had a great time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from the South Beach, Miami beach. It was breathtaking.

I've met Lady Gaga. She was very kind and I'm not ashamed to say that she made my life just that much better.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a vegan/vegetarian and I love to cook! A lot of people have asked me why I am, how I am, and what I eat as a vegan so I like to share my reasons and teach people why I love it! However, I'm not one to push my views onto people so if you love meat, so be it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I love meeting people with strong individualities.
