About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Narender and after backpacking across India for 18 months I've settled in mountains and run a hostel called Travelosic Junction.

Besides running this hostel, I work as a freelance writer.

But to be honest, if I were to answer the dreading question of, "What do you do for living?" I would say, "I Live".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, it brings me closer to the people who share the same zest of traveling and breaking the conventional rules of society.

Interests

I'm an avid reader and culturally aware. I also watch a lot of movies and a prefers to call myself a movie buff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's start with books: Currently i'm reading a lot of Hindi books which you might not relate to.
So, I'm gonna name some English books here:

Sputnik Sweetheart
Walden
The Veiled Suite
The Kite Runner
Leaves of Grass
Diary of a Whimpy Kid
Looking for Alaska

Movie which I've in my "Most Awesome Movies" folder includes:

Dead Poet's Society
Interstellar
Into The Wild
Mr Nobody
Munich
Pursuit Of Happyness
The Lives of Others
All of Christopher Nolan's
The Red Turtle
Tamasha

Music: I can tolerate to almost all of music and usually embarrassed to play my music in front of people. I usually listen to slow, melancholic, and instrumental music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been traveling from the past 18 months and had innumerable wonderful experiences at amazing places with amazing people. So, it's virtually impossible to pick one

Whether it's been sunset at the river bank of Ganga in Rishikesh, spending nights on a deserted beach of Goa, or beach trekking and getting lost in Gokarna, watching morning Ganga Aarti at Varanasi, Or listening to the sound of silence at the Everest Base Camp... All of them were unique experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I would love to know more about your culture, language and your prespective about things. I love talking about the nuances of different languages, observational skills and movies.

Talking about teaching, I'm a geek and very good with gadgets, so I'll be more than happy to help you out with anything tech. 😝

I'm also politically aware and love to talk about global politics, conspiracy theories, and of course, Trump's stupidity. 🤪
