ABOUT ME

I'm just trying to learn what's real and healthy in this world. I know there's a deeper purpose to life than shallowly seeking superficial fun. All I really want out of life is to spend my time and energy teaching yoga, working out, being a gigglebox, and being a good mentally and physically healthy person who makes people's lives better instead of worse. It's amazing how difficult that really is. But if it wasn't a struggle, it wouldn't be worth doing. Surrender through effort...

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a little bit of everything... prefer female driven music but love the boy bands too... action movies in the theater and romantic comedies curled up on the couch, books that aren't too heavy handed (I read enough of that in school, now I prefer a bit of lightness!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think every moment of my life has been amazing. The real value is in the most simple of moments/experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you yoga, take you through a personal training session and teach you to lift weights for fun and fitness! (how cheesey does that sound)

I can wax philosophical over a glass of wine and share any of the things that others have taught me. A few of my most valued life lessons below:

I think that most people lie about who they are, what they are about. It's not so much that they're trying to lie, but they have to lie to themselves so they lie to others as well. If you want to know someone, watch them, and judge from experience if their professions of identity match their actions.

Fun is over-rated. It has it's time and place but I'm looking for people who can offer me more than a good time. I want to be challenged to think, to create, to strive, to understand, to change. For me, the real fun of life is in the growth process which requires challenge and struggle. In my experience it seems that most people settle for the ordinary in life because going for the extraordinary takes courage, hard work, and knowing that you deserve it.

And finally, I think the outward journey is quite seductive but there comes a point when those challenges reveal their fruitlessness and the journey inward becomes the real essence of life.
