Overview
About Me
Hello,
I’m a Brazilian Head Brewer who has spent the past few years travelling the world in search of deeper meaning. Initially, my focus was on visiting various breweries and participating in beer competitions. However, I realised that much of this was driven by ego. As a result, I made the decision to change my career path and relocate to Canada, after be brewing in Brazil and Australia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I’m waiting to join a college program, I’ve decided to take some time to explore Canada. I’m currently based in Vancouver, but right now, I’m in Calgary doing some pet sitting. I’m looking forward to exploring Banff National Park, which I’ve heard is absolutely stunning and will forever mark my life as an incredible experience.
I’ve chosen to couch surf as a way to see the world from different perspectives and to meet new people who might influence my journey. It’s an exciting opportunity for me!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite singer is Willie Nelson. At 92 years old, he is still doing absolutely great. However, I also have to admit that I am a big heavy metal fan. I've attended several concerts in my life, and I'm proud to say that I've seen Motorhead, Pantera (twice), Metallica (twice), Black Sabbath (twice), Megadeth, Judas Priest (twice), Black Label Society, and Cavalera Conspiracy.
When it comes to movies, I'd say one of my favorites is "Easy Rider," which was released in 1969. That film is a classic. I also enjoy Westerns and other films like "Fight Club," "Schindler's List," "Hacksaw Ridge," and "Gladiator."
The book that changed my life is "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Aside from my move to Australia to work as a Head Brewer in a remote location, I still remember when I quit university, bought an old-school motorcycle, and traveled to another state in Brazil to enroll in a Brew Master course. I had only two weeks of vacation and one week with the motorcycle, and I managed to cover 800 kilometers in just two days, with no looking back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be delighted to share my knowledge about brewing and tasting techniques, and I’m equally eager to learn from others. I believe that life is all about experiences, and I appreciate every opportunity to engage and grow with everyone around me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
That’s a great question! I believe it varies from host to host, but I’m definitely open to sharing a meal and enjoying a nice drink together. I’m also quite skilled in the kitchen, so I would love to cook something delicious for us!
