Overview
About Me
I’m a newly minted broadcast journalist, based in Portland, OR.
I hail originally from Ontario, Canada. My passions and pursuits vary – currently I’m into indie films, podcasts, live storytelling and tango. I freelance write, dabble in photography and dream of traveling the world.
I love hazelnut-chocolate spread, pomegranates, salty nuts, tartar sauce and honey (though not all at once). I’m obsessed with candlelight vibes. The morning is my favorite time to be alive, especially the insanely early hours.
I’ll spend a fortune on beautiful and badass boots, but will grumble about 3-buck coffee. I don’t know anything about pop culture. I have a killer memory for obscure details, inspiring a fondness for rowdy games of pub trivia.
I talk out loud to myself when I’m stressed. I’ll dance at concerts even if no one else is. I’ve been late to work because I can’t stop listening to a podcast. I can throw together a stir-fry worth of the gods, but hate to bake. I get sick once every two years, and am always sure I’m dying when this happens.
But washing dishes makes me Zen as a Buddhist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So far I've never hosted (don't have my own place) by I'm excited to meet fellow couchsufers.
Travel for me is about being curious, adventurous and being surprised - what better way to do that then meeting folks in the places I want to visit?
We're all headed somewhere - thanks for opening the door and letting me in along my journey.

Memoirs, graphic novels, epistolary novels, historical fiction, high fantasy, sci fi, the occasional nonfiction, mystery, contemporary fiction, adventure, classics, new weird, steampunk…you get the idea.
